The Teen Market

The Teen Market

5/19/18

To begin, I will be focusing on the teen market and why it is important. Overall, the teen market is one of the largest markets with the most potential;. in which is constituted of mostly millennials. Furthermore, teens show high demand for new products depending on which product's popularity. The teen market is an ever-growing market that fluctuates in its needs. As the teen market usually constitutes was is popular or what is in demand.

For example, I will bring up technology, an ever-growing industry. In the teenager's perspective, whom grew up in the age of technology find it easier to adapt. Furthermore, teens are adept at finding products that are catered their needs. As a result, their views aren't always affected by that of older generations and therefore, teens control the demand for certain products.

Also, the teen market has one of the biggest potentials, which, of course, makes it a valuable target. As stated before teens usually constitute what it popular or not. Although, many teens and their favorite brands aren't always set in stone. Furthermore, their attitudes towards certain company fluctuate and they are reluctant to listen to companies or older generations telling them what they want.

In my opinion, I enjoy brands or companies that remain consistent, reliable, and respect your privacy. Furthermore, I enjoy social media that doesn't share your information with other companies. Overall, it's just the feeling of security that makes a certain company or brand enjoyable.

Making Cents Out of Teens

Making Cents Out of Teens 5/19/18  Upon watching PBS Frontline’s “Making Cents out of Teens,” it didn't really surprise me. I know that companies make lots of assumptions about teens, most of them beginning with, "All teens want or need this". On the other hand, I realize that companies try to project their own image of the "ideal" teenager based on focus groups and interviews. Overall, I would just be talking about the disadvantages of their advertising techniques and I am just going to give my two cents on the issue. To begin, the advertisers within the film generally made the assumption that most teens are attracted to sex, violence, and excitement. As a result, advertisers cater to their audience's needs. To the point in which products or shows become overly vulgar or fan-service orientated. This just has a chain effect as more and more products revolve around this assumption. Secondly, the entire projection of a mook or midriff seems
